Biography
Saman Hussein Mahmood is a specialist with Working in University since 1996 till now. His activities during this period are as following:
1-Teaching statistics lectures
2-Supervising undergraduate, master's, and PhD research projects.
3-Assisting some university professors, economic and administrative specialists, in Data Analyses
4- Opening Internet SPSS courses.
5- Participating in scientific conferences in other universities like Sulaymaniyah and Baghdad.
6-Heading Statistic department in collage of Administrative and Economic/Erbil University (2005-2008), (2017-2019)
Worked for UN agency, Food & Agriculture Organization, FAO, from 1/6 -1/9 /2003 as Data Analysis at Erbil office in Iraqi Kurdistan.
Research Interest
· Time series forecasting using neural networks (e.g., NAR, LSTM) and hybrid models (e.g., SARIMA-ANN).
· Classification and discriminant analysis for medical and real-world datasets.
· Application of machine learning and deep learning (e.g., SVM, FFNN) in disease diagnosis (e.g., Alzheimer's, breast cancer).
· Wavelet Transform for signal and image processing and feature extraction.
· Impact of sample size, feature selection, and preprocessing on model performance.
· AI applications in energy forecasting, healthcare analytics, and environmental systems.
